Blake Austin Griffin was born March 16, 1989. Griffin had an amazing high school career at Oklahoma Christian School, winning state titles each of his four years under his father, Tommy Griffin, who was the head coach. April 7, 2009, Griffin announced that he would give up his final two years of eligibility and declared for the NBA Draft after his sophomore year. He was selected as the first overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2009 NBA Draft.Since he missed the entire 2009–10 season, Griffin was still considered a rookie during the 2010–11 season. Griffin was one of the most praised rookies to ever play in the NBA. He averages 20 points a game, 10 rebounds, and 3.1 assits and game.
